Q1: What benefits do I get from a TCP renewal?
A: Autel TCP cards provide you with continuous access to software updates, extend the warranty on the tablet, and provide access to Autel's technical support team.
Q2 - Why should I buy my TCP card from Triad when it is offered through my tool?
A: Triad offers discounts beyond what is ever offered by purchasing directly through the tablet. By keeping the most popular cards in stock, Triad offers a quick and easy turnaround time for updating the subscription.
Q3: How do the TCP renewals get applied through Triad?
A: Triad can provide your TCP renewal in several different ways:
Apply directly to your tool via the tablet serial number (preferred)
Provide the renewal code by email which can be easily entered into the tool via the "Updates" page
Send a physical renewal card with scratch-off code by mail
Q4: How long does a virtual renewal take to process
A: Virtual renewals are typically processed within 1 business day but are often much quicker
Q5: I don't see my exact tool model listed. Can I still buy my renewal through Triad?
A: Triad offers renewals for nearly all US Model tablets. With that said, there are certain service level tools and tools from overseas markets that are online renewals only, meaning they must be purchased directly through the tablet. If you are unsure if your tablet is eligible for a renewal through Triad, it is best to contact one of our product experts directly.
Q6: What happens if I don't renew my TCP subscription?
A: In most cases, your tool will work the same way it did before once your subscription expires. That being said, you will no longer receieve updates or warranty support. In addition, certain vehicles requiring server access such as Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Rams that are 2018 and newer will no longer be covered by the tool. You can renew a lapsed subscription at any time with no penalty. You will receive all the updates you missed, plus 1 year moving forward. This also puts your tool back into warranty.
Q7: What happens if I renew my subscription early?
A: There is no penalty for renewing early. The TCP renewal will simply add 1 year to whatever time remains on your tool. For example, if you have 100 days remaining on your tool and process a renewal, you will now have 465 days.
Q8: What if I need my renewal now but would prefer to make monthly instead of annually?
A: Triad offers a variety of flexible payment options through services such as Affirm or Klarna. These payments will automatically become available at checkout.
